optionsXpress Xpo: Options Education

PowerOptions attended, exhibited, and educated at optionsXpress’s first exhibition in Chicago, IL on May 4th and 5th. While the Xpo was open to the public, customers of optionsXpress primarily attended it. About 1,200 investors attended the conference with about 20 exhibitors. There were about 90 options education breakout sessions on a variety of stock option investing subjects. optionsXpress staffers presented half of the sessions. PowerOptions presented 2 sessions.

  1. Pick the Magic Strike Price for Your Next Option Trade
  2. Find The Ultimate Option Trades with SmartSearchXL®

These presentations are available in the help pages for subscribers of PowerOptions and can be accessed by non-subscribers by signing up for the 14-day Free Trial to learn options trading on the PowerOptions site. A trial account will also give you access to the SmartSearchXL® screening and option chain tools discussed in the presentations. Also discussed is our newly added feature called BrokerLink, which will allow investors easy trade executions by linking trades they find on PoweOptions directly into their optionsXpress accounts.

Each morning the Xpo started with introductory talks by the optionsXpress management team followed by a guest speaker. On Thursday, May 4th the guests were David and Tom Gardner from the Motley Fool and on Friday, May 5th the guest was Ben Stein. The afternoons were dominated by the breakout session talks, which were available in 10 rooms from 1 to 5 PM. Most shows of this type clear out rapidly after the last breakout. However, optionsXpress sponsored a cocktail hour and a salmon and steak dinner as part of their closing ceremony. The Xpo was well attended and a good time was shared by all.

A special thanks to all of our loyal customers who came out and met us. It is always nice to put a face with the name in the internet business.
